About Us: SafeSpace Children's Advocacy Center is a front-line responder to reports of child sexual and physical abuse, witnessing violence, and other serious maltreatment of children in the Columbia River Gorge region. All our services are aimed at reducing and addressing trauma so children and families may begin their healing process. SafeSpace services are free of charge to every client. We are an interdisciplinary nonprofit organization coordinating efforts of child protection staff, law enforcement professionals, family advocates, medical experts, and mental health clinicians under one roof. Our staff facilitate interagency partners’ collaborative responses, conduct forensic interviews and medical assessments, provide child and family advocacy and crisis intervention services, and are now offering in-house integrated youth mental health and substance use disorder services.
